Blank transaction descriptions
The transaction description field is an optional field under Open Banking standards, so not all banks return it. This field is often blank for saving accounts and transfers for Lloyds Bank accounts.
Commercial Banking Online: 'Sorry, we couldn't set up sharing' error
This suggests the user doesn't have the correct role assigned to them to share data via Open Banking. Please follow the steps below or speak to the administrator of their commercial banking access for the direct channel.
Commercial Banking Online: Unable to consent
Users can only use Open Banking services if they have the correct permissions added to their role.
To add permissions:
- Hover over Administration tab > Roles and then select Role maintenance.
- Select the role you want to change and click Modify at the bottom.
- Select the Information Reporting tab and tick Open Banking, which is next to the Data Permissions Bank Account.
- Select what to share and click Share.
